Asthma disease

Asthma symptoms are caused by exposure to triggers and are resolved by removing the trigger or taking anti-asthmatic drugs. Symptoms of asthma include the following:

• Wheeze (wheezing, whistling sound usually when exhaling)
• Cough (dry or phlegm, usually worse at night and early morning)
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Feeling of pressure and tightness in the chest
• Sleep problems caused by shortness of breath, cough or wheezing
• Symptoms of other allergic disorders may also be observed in patients. (Atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis with or without nasal polyps)

Considering that these symptoms are also seen in other respiratory diseases, it is difficult to diagnose asthma just by observing these symptoms and there is a need for more diagnostic measures.
